Bridges are used to fill the space left, usually after a tooth is extracted. There are many types of bridge available.
If you have spaces left after teeth have been extracted, a bridge may be an option to fill the space. However, other options such as dental implants or a denture may also be an option. All these options would be discussed at your consultation appointment.
Are bridges expensive?
That very much depends on the type of bridge required. Simple bridges can cost from £450, but more complex bridges spanning multiple missing teeth will be more expensive.
How do I look after my bridge?
You need to clean your bridge every day, to prevent problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. You also have to clean under the bridge every day. Your dentist or hygienist will show you how to use an interproximal brush (such as a Tepe brush), as a normal toothbrush cannot reach.
