Dental implants can be used to replace missing teeth and secure loose dentures.
They are considered an advanced form of dental treatment and Rhys, Whitehouse Dental Clinic’s principal dentist, has many years of advanced training and experience which allow him to use dental implants to reliably rehabilitate patients. He has completed the prestigious MSc (Master of Science) Dental Implantology course at Bristol University and regularly attends post-graduate meetings, lectures and study clubs to keep up-to-date with the latest treatments to provide his patients with the highest standards of care.
A dental implant is a small titanium screw which is placed into the jawbone in a local anaesthetic procedure. After a period of healing and some impressions of the mouth, the implant is then used to support the crown, bridge or denture.
Dental implants to replace back teeth cost £2300 (the total cost, including the implant and crown). Due to the complexity of the work required, replacing front teeth costs more, usually around £2900. More complex treatments are difficult to quote for without seeing you for a consultation. We are aware that we are not the cheapest provider of dental implants in South Wales. However, we do not use inferior quality materials and feel very strongly that in this type of treatment, patients should not compromise and simply opt for the ‘cheapest’ they can find.
At Whitehouse Dental Clinic, we use the Straumann dental implant system. Straumann are one of the top dental implant companies inn the world and have a wealth of research supporting their systems. We use one of the finest laboratories in the UK to make our crowns and bridges, working closely with them to provide you with the best results.
An excellent resource if you are considering dental implants is the Association of Dental Implantology website. This contains lots of excellent information, but specific questions are best answered by having a consultation with Rhys.
Our implant consultations cost £95 so call us now to arrange yours and start planning your treatment.
